Adoption: How to Get Started! (Community Event)
Time: 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

A Connecticut Adoption and Family Services worker will explain different types of adoption and offer a step-by-step outline to adopting a child. Adoption of infants from within the United States, as well as the adoption of children from countries through which Connecticut Adoption and Family Services facilitates adoptions from, will be discussed. Adopting a child from Connecticut state foster care through Project Connecticut’s Child, a grant funded low cost adoption program will also be covered. www.ctadoptions.org Pre-register by calling 860-444-0553 for more information or to schedule a one on one adoption inquiry meeting at the Connecticut Adoption and Family Services offices in New London.

Drive a new Ford car and help raise money for Stonington High School!

Saturday September 18th Valenti Ford is going to help raise thousands of dollars for Stonington High School Students to help save their schools’ Safe Graduation Party. Its part of Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program.
 During the Homecoming game come down and test drive any of Ford’s lineup including the popular F series truck, their new Ford Fusion Hybrid, the Focus, Edge, Ford Escape and many more. For each car driven Ford will donate money, up to $6,000, to help support Stonington High’s Safe Graduation Program
